LB985 A three-dimensional analysis of the collagen network in rats treated with hyaluronic acid-based soft tissue filler

This study evaluates the tissue integration and collagen network effects of HA-based soft filler Juvéderm Voluma XC in a rat model using novel three-dimensional (3-D) imaging platform image analysis algorithms. Rats were injected subcutaneously with 125 μL XC. After 4- or 12-weeks post-injection, second harmonic generation (SHG) signal autofluorescence within entire bolus was assessed TissueVision TissueCyte Serial Two-Photon Plus (STP2) platform. The extent quality metrics evaluated through 3D into bolus, fiber remodeling (anisotropy), bundle frequency. SHG demonstrated robust fibrillar at 12- weeks after injection.
